A relaxed pace allows plenty of time for each activity, plus some relaxation on the private pool or on the river after the activities.
Your guide picks you up from your Punta Cana hotel and takes you to the scenic Anamuya River, where you’ll hop on the saddle and ride horseback.
At a local village and working cigar plantation, you’ll have the opportunity to sample hand-rolled products and have a cool drink.
Then, you’ll head to the exhilarating treetop zipline for as many rides as you’d like across the river.
Back at the ranch, you’ll be served a typical Dominican meal with a locally-produced coffee.
You’re then free to lounge by the ranch’s pool or enjoy a refreshing swim before being treated to a tour that includes samples of the cocoa and vanilla grown on the property.
For an additional thrill, the ranch offers an optional upgrade to your horseback ride that allows you to test your cow-wrangling skills on an old-fashioned cattle drive.
This 6 hour tour departs from all Punta Cana, Uvero Alto & Cap Cana hotels. You must confirm you pickup time (every morning between 8:00 am-9:15 am) with the local tour operator prior to your travel date. In price is included everything - local guide, Horseback riding, Zip Lining, Lunch and drinks, all samplings, hotel pickup and drop-off. Gratuities are optional.

Punta Cana on Horseback
One thing I never expected to do in Punta Cana was ride a horse. It was all my fiancé’s idea and it’s something she’s wanted to do since we met. Well, I’m glad she suggested it and super glad we actually did it! We booked both horseback riding and zip-lining at the same location. We were picked up at our hotel by an open air bus for transport to the ranch. This ride itself was quite an adventure- driving in Punta Cana is an experience!
Our first stop was at Rancho Real Cigar factory which was interesting because I am from Amish tobacco country and my fiancé is from Connecticut, which is wrapper country. The smell of this place was heavenly! Then we moved on to the ride. Our horses were very well trained and really needed very little prompting to walk, turn or stop, which is good because I haven’t been on a horse in many years!
The ride took us on some level and some steep terrains. We also rode through some water, although the river was running low because of a recent drought. Eventually we arrived at the site of the zip lines- five in all and each one was a lot of fun. The staff were very efficient at getting us into our rigs and hooked up at each line. At 66, I was an absolute beginner but found zip-lining both easy and exhilarating!
Lunch was served after this and, among other things, was some very good fried chicken and rice and beans. Then we were guided around the property and shown vanilla, coffee, cocoa and other plants. Some dried cocoa beans were ground up with brown sugar and each of us got a large sample- very good! Finally, we had a history lesson about Mama Juana and the adults had a tasting! Most of these products were offered for sale.
After this, it was back on to the horses for the return trip. I can not say enough good things about our guide, Abraham. He was very friendly and highly entertaining . We found Dominicans all to be happy, friendly people, but Abraham was doubly so! I’m really hoping to get to Punta Cana once per year, and certainly plan to visit Horse Play Punta Cana again!

Awesome Experience
We loved our day! From beginning to end it was an unforgettable experience. The guides are very friendly, knowledgeable and funny making the trip a lot of fun. The authentic Dominican lunch they serve you is excellent, Kathy has really hit the nail on the head with this place! The horseback riding was so fun, and i felt super comfortable about ziplining. It was my first time ziplining and i was scared but the guides made me feel safe and secure and after the first time i couldn’t wait to do it again!! We will be booking this again when we return next year... that’s how much we enjoyed it! Thank you Kathy & the staff at Horseplay!

An amazing excursion! Well done, extremely fun and worth the money!
My husband, daughter and son-in-law did this excursion. We were so fortunate to have Kathy, the owner as our tour guide that day. She was so informative and friendly! The drive was fun in the open air large jeep vehicle, the local Dominican staff were all so friendly and helpful. The horses are well cared for, healthy and happy to walk, trot, or gallop - whatever you want to do.
It isn't like the boring head to butt walk in a line here at home. You have freedom to guide your horse to catch up with your family. The lunch was delicious and safe with bottled water and pop provided. Zip lining was fun and safe as well. Only complaint was it was over too fast.
The views were magnificent. It was educational as well with a tour of cocoa pods and a wonderful guide who explained how cocoa is made (with all of us having a taste!). The horse back ride back was a different way, seeing local homes and beautiful scenery! Do this excursion with no worries!!! It will be a highlight of your stay I guarantee!!!

Highlight of our Trip!
If you're in the DR, you absolutely MUST do this. It's so much fun, and an experience you'll never forget.
We had an amazing time. The guides tailored your ride to your experience level, so they broke off a group of us to go galloping. It was fantastic!
I highly recommend the cattle drive as well. It was short, but fun, and very different.
I don't want to ruin the surprises along the way, but well worth it.
Plan on getting messy, and wear close-toed shoes and long pants. So fun!

So Much Fun
The tour was amazing and the tour guides made it even more enjoyable. From the horseback riding to the zip line adventure me and my friends were amazed by the crew and professionalism. The photographer of the horseback riding was a sweetheart.

Wonderful Excursion
Took this trip with my daughter and 7 year old grandson. I am 69, but rode horses quite a bit as a kid. Getting a chance to gallop on a horse again, and with my daughter, was an awesome and special experience. This was a first horseback ride for my 7 year old grandson and he was a little overwhelmed. However, one of the staff stayed with him the entire ride and led his horse so he felt very safe.

From start to finish this is a perfect excursion! The staff was excellent and kept my 11 year old daughter calm as it was her first time horseback riding! I felt very safe and learning about the land and culture was great!

Excellent Day
The tour was really awesome. All of the staff was very welcoming, friendly, and professional. This was my first time riding a horse and it really made me nervous, but the guys all made the new riders feel at ease and were right by our sides throughout the ride. I appreciated this tremendously!
The food was delicious, especially the fried chicken :), and the presentation of the cigar making, cocoa beans, and mama Juana was really awesome and made the whole experience that much more wonderful. We really enjoyed the entire day! Thanks!! Kudos to the team!

Unique and amazing experience!
Our first trip to Punta Cana. 5 and 9 yr old kids said it was their favorite part of the trip! If you are looking for a family or small group activity, this is it! What a blast!
I went there on June 27th along with three friends as part of a Jeep Adventure Tour. The horse back riding portion was for approximately 20 minutes. We then proceeded to do the Zip-lining course which was two sections. Afterwards we ate there on the property. Inclusive in our tour was lunch.
The food was good and made fresh. The staff for both the horse back riding and the Zip-lining were friendly and knowledgeable. If we're ever in Punta Cana again we're going back.
