Punta Cana 2019

The BEST Indian Food I have ever had. We love Indian food and this exceeded our expectations. The vibe is super chill, the owner is very friendly, service was fast, and again the food was phenomenal.

Excellent Indian Food

Pranama is in the heart of Bavaro, a little hidden in a small plaza. I am vegan so it is not easy to eat out here. They offer delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Love this place! Food made with love!

Super tasty Indian food with an attentive and informative staff

They have a tandoori oven so the naan was fabulous, the spices were perfect an the service was very good. The owner was knowledgeable about things around Bavaro Beach area and gave us some good 'buyer be ware tips'

Indian Food to Die For

Right in the middle of Bavaro is this nice Indian restaurant with good outdoor seating. Excellent food and service. We liked the spicy food best but everything else was great too. I highly recommend it for everyone who wants to get away from "All Inclusive" hotel food.

Second Visit

Wrote one of the first reviews a bit over a year ago. It was fabulous then and nothing has changed. Excellent service. Excellent, fresh, hot, and authentic Indian food. Will definitely stop back before the vacation is over. Highly recommended. Our #1 restaurant in Bavaro.

Amazing amazing amazing !

If you are reading this that means you are considering. Please go and you won’t be disappointed.
Amazing / mind blowing. Never expected anything like this in Punta Cana.

-Pakoras...veg and onion were great. Not oily, very crispy to perfection.
- Chili garlic naan was one of the best we have ever had
- Plain butter naan... well done.
- Paneer tikka.. gravy was fresh... not heavy/ cream loaded.. very fresh paneer ... home made
- Chicken Tikka was amazing amazing amazing
- Lemon rice was the best I have had outside India. Krishna’s mother’s recipe. .
- Everything was prepared from scratch
- Portions were decent.
- Naan was on a smaller side but amazing
- All gravies were unique to that dish.
- Gulab Jamun and Kulfi were great deserts.
- Krishna, the owner, prepared a lot of the things himself to our taste.
- excellent service.

If You Are Looking For Something Unique, This Is It!

Found this great Indian Restaurant when it opened last year. On our return this year, we have been there twice already. And It did not disappoint. Authentic Indian with sauces that will take you from sweet to hot. Chicken dishes are excellent. Appetizers were great. Do not forget the Nan as well, with three different toppings. The owner is very hands on, coming out to greet you, check on your meal, say hi and even offer you a few things to try ahead of time.

Our FAVORITE place to eat in Punta Cana!!

Our trip to Punta Cana was 4 days in length on Bavaro Beach. We stayed at an Airbnb rather than an all-inclusive which gave us the opportunity to explore our surrounding area and try many different restaurants/cafes. We never ate at the same place twice! We stumbled upon Pranama on our 3rd and final night and didn’t think twice to try it because we love Indian cuisine.

It’s tucked away off the Main Street giving it a very cozy and uninterrupted atmosphere. There is both an indoor seating area and large open air/covered patio with plenty of fans for those trying to escape the heat. The staff at Pranama is the best we experienced our entire stay in DR. They were both attentive and very friendly. We immediately felt at home! We enjoyed the Hibiscus Mojitos, Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala/Vindaloo, rice, and of course Garlic Naan. All were amazing in flavor and portion!!

Our only regret through our entire trip was that we didn’t eat here twice!! Krishna, the Owner and Chef, is absolutely the best! He has the best personality and we can’t speak more highly of him. Not to mention we shared a commonality of living in Maine :) If you don’t go to Pranama during your stay in Punta Cana then you will surely be missing out. Thank you Krishna and staff for making our last night in Punta Cana one to remember!!

VERY NICE and TASTY FOOD

After a 10 hour day trip to "Altos De Chavon" and "Saona Island" and all the rum and dancing on the Catamaran we were starving and wanted some wholesome food.

We are Indians and were a little reluctant to try but we ended up here as Citrus had a 60 minute wait. We were lucky to be seated without a reservation. The service and food was delicious. We tried the chicken makhani, chicken vindaloo and garlic naan.

The owner's stopped by and checked on us. Love their passion for food and service.

Absolutey amazing!

My husband and I ventured to this place after being tired of the mediocre food at our resort. It did not disappoint. From the ginger mojito to the cheese naan (absolutely delicious) to the shrimp dishes - absolutely amazing. The service is A+, atmosphere is A+ and food is A+++. I would recommend this gem to anyone that is also tired of being a caged hamster at their resort. I dare you to venture out and try this place.

Authentic Indian Food

We are regular visitors to Punta Cana which is our second home. Our visit is never complete without coming to Pranama Resturant. Everyone should try the food here. We are originally from India but settled in USA and can tell for sure that Food has real authentic Indian taste here. We visited yesterday for dinner and Chef and owner Krishna who is Indian is very friendly and really pays special attention to every customer.

Staff is very friendly with great service. There are two cooks from India . Me and my husband really enjoyed our food last night. We ordered Chinola Lassi for our drinks which had amazing taste. We didn’t order appetizers yesterday as could not wait to enjoy dinner . We had ordered Paneeer Tikka which is cheese dish with curry with all Indian spices and Fish Tikka. Both are dishes were real delicious and we had Onion Kulcha and Garlic Naan these are Indian breads.

Breads were so good as they come fresh from oven. I can’t tell enough how much we enjoyed our dinner. Fish Tikka was so good that it just melted in my mouth. One can always order spicy if interested. Service was great and we plan to go again in coming week. We always like to try something different. Thanks Krishna for taking good care of us.
