Best Restaurant in Punta Cana

While vacationing in Punta Cana, I had the opportunity to visit and dine at Saffron Restaurant. This establishment has it all...the decor is elegant and cultured. The staff is welcoming and kind. The food...outstanding! the entire experience is leaps and bounds above the other restaurants not only in Punta Cana, but what I can honestly say the Dominican Republic.

The selection of wines is vast, the appetizers, entrees and desserts are incredible. I highly recommend this fine dining establishment to any/all persons that want to be treated to the best meal in the Dominican Republic.

Saffron best food; don’t be fooled by mall location

Family friendly elegant restaurant with amazing seafood and great steaks and ceviche and seafood dishes too- all with local flavor, side dishes to give you flavor of local cuisine with familiar dishes. Family of six tried variety of dishes and everyone from 10-60 enjoyed . Highly recommend excellent quality and service.

Delicious

Sushi was wonderful, as was the ceviche. Alba was a fantastic server despite our language barrier, she was very attentive and did a great job!

Fantastic

After reading the reviews we decided to try this wonderful restaurant. Albairis was our server and although we had a little language barrier she was outstanding. So attentive and wanting to please. The food was at least as good as anything we’ve had so far in Puntacana. I asked Albairisto suggest my dinner choice, and wow was I pleased.

It was a whole fish (not exactly sure what it was because it was not on the menu) but it was maybe the best fish I’ve ever had. My wife had coconut grouper with coconut risotto. Outstanding. Also had a octopus and calamari ceviche that was so good. Ok so this place was at the mall, but please don’t let that stop you. Just go.

Excellent service, nice atmosphere with good foos

We were a family of 8 with 4 teenagers. The restaurant is nicely decorated although the music was a little on the loud side. A great mix of food (sushi and seafood with good steaks) and a good wine list for a reasonable prices. Everything on the menu was cheaper than inside the Punta Cana resorts, so we thought it was worth paying for the car ride. Service was great also.

Dinner

Had dinner with friends the day Saffron became an Angus Certified restaurant. The quality of the meat was simply incredible. It was also the night they had just opened a very nice cozy lounge on the second floor. The service and the quality of the food have been consistent during my last two visits. Owner Pablo Valentin is always around and is tremendous host.

It is conveniently located in Blue Mall Punta Cana and it is probably one of the best price quality wise places in the area. I’ve been living in Punta Cana for 13 years and it has become one of my favorite dining places.

Excellent food in a cozy environment

My family and I visited Saffron on a Saturday night for dinner and we loved the place. The wait staff is very well trained and kind, always attending us with a smile.

We ordered arancinis for appetizers and they were exquisite. My favorite was the shrimp and pesto one, such a natural flavor from the basil and so tasty. We then ordered rolls from the sushi menu. They were all excellent. We ordered the Delicioso Roll (which does right to the name, it’s a Caribbean roll and very delicious), the Spicy Tuna Roll, with that kick of spicy flavor so well done, the California Roll (the best California we all have had, such a fresh flavor) and the Rainbow Roll, which is a mixed fish sushi. My oldest son ordered a Risotto Asopao, which is a little more soupy than regular risotto, but so good!!

After having such excellent food we couldn’t say no to dessert. We ordered a Key Lime Pie. We loved it. The portion is big (we ordered one for 6 people and it was enough for each).

The top the evening, we got to premiere the upstairs private bar. We loved it, so fancy and cozy and with live music! Can’t get any better than that!

We all loved the place. We would definitely recommend this place when coming to Punta Cana!

My favorite riceless roll of all times, Valentin roll!

Super fresh salmon! Yummyness for us ladies on a no carb diet, also ask for the carpaccio zuchini. My friends ordered meat and it was very tender and tasty. Oh!! And they recently got “Angus” certified!!

The staff is super nice and the owner, Pablo I believe was his name, super kind and attentive greeting all tables. Definitely a must visit place in Punta Cana, hope to be back soon...

Excellent

Had dinner with a group of friends visiting Punta Cana at Saffron at Blue Mall and the experience was amazing! The decor and the ambience was the best I have experienced in my travels to the Dominican Republic. The food was a gastronomical experience! The seafood, the pasta and the meat dishes were just amazing and the staff provided a 5 star service to our group.

I have had the opportunity to experience food in different parts of the world and I consider Saffron among the best! I would definitely recommend to my colleagues when visiting Punta Cana to experience Saffron excellent food and their off the chart staff service.

Classy and Delicious! BEST Sushi in Town!!

I had the best sushi and tuna tartar culinary experience; Marino is a reknowned sushi Master and it shows, he came to great us and ensure that our choices met our buds expectations;)

The atmosphere is cozzy, classy and the service was cared for from beginning to end, I congratulate management for having reading glasses in case of need be; however, we were always schooled on the details and recommendations of the house before looking at the menu, a fine touch!

Best food in town!

If you visit punta cana, you have to try Saffron!! Excellent service, great environment and espectacular tastes. From its ceviches, sushi and tartars to the main dishes, like the tagliata, coconut grouper, chillo taíno and their famous osobucco. Just don’t forget to order the bread puddin for dessert

Personally I think Saffron is the Best Restaurant at Punta Cana Área, since you heget to the Entrance, waiters smile and invite you to get in, the service is simply Excellent, you can sit inside or outside, they usually plays a piano in the afternoon or night, the food is fresh and is value-oriented, showing respect for nature, international cuisine, great chef, Spicy Tuna Tartar, Saffron Ossobuco, Short Ribs, Chillo Taíno (Taíno Stile Red Snapper), the Passion Salmon and The Tomahawk a 32 oz Meat to share.

Outstanding restaurant and international feeling in Punta Cana

One of the best culinary experience in Punta Cana at the great Blue Mall. The services is perfect and food is one of the best offer in this area. If you want have a NY restaurant experience but with a good a fair prices go there and ask for the differents Carpacios of the Risottos. The Coconut Crusted Grouper is amazing

Delicious and well priced

Had a wonderful meal @ Saffron. It is in the new Blue Mall. I had the coconut encrusted grouper and my husband had the short ribs. All were absolutely delicious. Service was great. Ambiance very nice. Varied and creative menu.
