All around Excellence!

I’m not one to take the time to write reviews but frankly I’m making an exception for this delightful Mexican restaurant. Succinctly put, food, service, ambiance, and management were outstanding. I had the Arrechera special and my wife had the steak quesadilla with a couple of drinks and queso fundido as appetizer. I have to say it was delicious. Can’t wait to visit Hernan during our next Punta Cana get away.

Mexican food at its finest!!!!

Do not miss this one. Boyfriend and I got the fish tacos and enchiladas to share... AMAZING! It's average price but the quality and taste is unparalleled and authentic. Portions are large. Hot sauce is brought out at the beginning with a few chips-- careful one of them is very hot. This place was right beside our Airbnb but it's a little walk from the main hub of everything- worth it though!!!

Best Mexican EVER!

My family came across this place this week and EVERY SINGLE THING WAS OUTSTANDING!! The frozen margarita are huge. Owner is more then accommodating and fun to chat with! Then food is so fresh it’s worth the walk or drive from wherever you are! Prices are great! Sadly only in Bavaro for one more day or I would definitely be back at least once a week!

Worth the Walk

Based on the reviews we walked a pretty good distance to get there. It was well worth it. The waiter recommended his favorite dishes and they were very good. They were served hot and were definitely fresh. Service was friendly and excellent. Prices were very reasonable. They had a guitar player who played for each table and he was very talented and personable. It was a very enjoyable evening out. Highly recommended.

Always a part of our Bavaro/ Punta Cana stays

Year after year we have been coming to Bavaro for vacation and year after year we go to this terrific restaurant. From out of this world, huge frozen margaritas to excellent appetizers to terrific Mexican meals, Pastrada never ever disappoints. Herman greets you with a warm, friendly smile, tells you to decide what to eat and ends it with hugs all around. The fajitas come out sizzling, the fish is fresh and the sides compliment the meals nicely.

Leisurely walk from town and you are in their small airy outdoor restaurant that for us, has never disappointed.

Special order of fish

Last week we were enjoying another delicious meal and talked to the owner about ordering fresh fish and what does he suggest. So tonight we had our preordered dinner and it was outstanding. It exceeded all of our (4 people) expectations in taste, presentation and of course the owner explaining each dish as he brought it out.

We started with grouper croquettes with homemade tartar sauce and french fries. Next came mahi mahi steamed in white wine with thinly sliced veggies on top served with a lovely garden salad full of fresh ripe veggies. Lastly red snapper, rice and beans. What an outstanding and delicious meal. The service is phenomenal, meals are consistently delicious. We have been going to Pastrata's since 2012 and love it. This is one restaurant you need to visit when in Punta Cana! LOVE IT.

Amazing Food and Service

Just returned from this wonderful Mexican restaurant. The owner and staff are very attentive and the food is dynamite. Best coconut shrimp my wife has ever had. Can't find a better restaurant for the price. The menu is offered in Spanish and English. Very well run and managed.

Incredible service and food!

We got a chance to go after staying at Sunscape resort. The food was incredibly authentic and tasty. We had coconut shrimp and guacamole and a delicious mole enchilada. The tequila and margaritas were grade-A! Would definitely return.

Excellent Food & Atmosphere

This place is a must on any trip to Punta Cana! The food was the best! Excellent flavor, good portions, great service! Hernan, the owner, met us at the door and worked dilligently to see that every detail of our experience was outstanding! He did this with everyone in the restaurant. Family friendly and they treated our kids very well. They enjoyed it as much as we did. The tacos and flautas were amazing and the brownie for dessert was AMAZING!!! It was so good, we asked for a second one! This restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is! We will be back! We had a blast!!!

Delicious Food and Outstanding Customer Service - Magical!

The best restaurant in Punta Cana, hands down. We went there twice during our recent vacation, and each time was delicious and magical. Hernan, the owner, introduced us to "Tequila Bandera" - tequila shots with fresh lime juice and a tomato juice chaser. He also prepared us a great "to go" platter of quesadillas for the following day (as we were going on an excursion and would return to our resort late at night). The food is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and magical. A must visit!

Amazing Mexican Food in DR!

Being from Texas, we’re pretty spoiled with good Mexican food, so we weren’t sure what to expect when coming here. It was amazing! Everyone in our group ordered something different, and everyone’s was delicious! The mojitos and passion fruit Margaritas were amazing! Overall, excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere! We’re so happy we found this place!
