"Utterly stunning resort, staff were fantastic, resort immaculate, rooms beautiful, beach was beautiful, food was great at all times. Buffet was better than restaurants in our view. Japanese was probably the best. The animators were fantastic, very friendly. Star prestige probably not worth the extra, but the exclusive beach area and bar is good. Overall, definitely worth a stay for an ideal holiday break. Probably best resort in the area, we walked down the beach and the others didn’t look as nice plus the seaweed was quite bad further down."

Perfect Paradise!

... From the moment you enter the open-air, spectacular lobby, you feel like you are in paradise! The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you are happy your entire stay. Our personal room butlers made sure that mini bar was stocked with our favorite beverages each day and assisted us with some dinner reservations or anything else that we needed!

If possible, try to make all of your dinner reservations in advance before your arrival, to be certain you get the times you want! The food in all of the restaurants is absolutely fabulous, right down to the presentation! The resort and grounds are so clean and well maintained each day. The beautiful two section pool is so big, and never feels crowded.

The private beach area is so nice and has permanent thatched roof “umbrellas” over the comfy, cushioned lounge chairs. The waiters walk on the beach and around the pool all day to make sure you have your favorite drinks!

The resort offers activities around the pool area and in the sports pool throughout the day and each night there is a show in the theatre, as well as entertainment in the lobby bar.

The Spa that overlooks the ocean is also outstanding for a relaxing massage or facial! I can’t say enough about what a wonderful resort this is in every way! We definitely plan on going back again!"

Best of Everything all in one place

We travelled to this beautiful resort last week and it went above and beyond our expectations. We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday and our upcoming 47th anniversary. We were treated like royal family. Everyone was so warm and friendly and we were especially grateful for the attention to detail including some mobility challenges.

Our butlers, Staling and Silvestre, were spot on when we needed anything (including rides to the various restaurants, etc. (even brought ice for my swollen ankles. We felt very blessed that people with handicaps were so cared for. Not every place is that sensitive and we greatly appreciated all the kind service, attention to detail, cleanliness, and the value of this gorgeous resort.

Thanks to all who made our stay so wonderful. We made memories of a lifetime and enjoyed our special time together with our son... We will be back next year.

Relaxed elegance

We spent 5 nights and were very pleased with our choice. From the moment you walk into the front lobby you can feel you are somewhere special. We found ALL the Iberostar Grand staff welcoming, helpful, courteous and kind. We had an oveanview suite on the 4th floor, it was well appointed and we enjoyed the spacious balcony. We had dinner in a few of the specialty restaurants (Casa de la Playa & El Galeon) but found the variety and flexibility of Bella Vista to be our favorite.

Our butlers were attentive but not pushy. We ordered room service for pre dinner appetizers and wine, tasty and prompt. The only thing I didn't like was how you couldn't get a front row beach palapa without staking our your chairs by 7am. But that's the way it goes at most resorts like this. We found a nice palapa in front of the Casa de la Playa restaurant (we think the area may have been for the villa residents but no one kicked us out and it was uncrowded and peaceful.)

The lobby bar had live music every evening which was lovely and it was nice to have an evening entertainment option - shows begin at 10p. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and meticulously cared for. If we return, we will upgrade to an oceanfront room for the view and to the Star Service for the beach privileges. This is an excellent choice when visiting the DR with your spouse or significant other to relax and recharge in a Grand way.

Living Grand!

Again, a beautiful all-inclusive resort by Iberostar. The property is huge, beautifully laid out and landscaped. Love how water covers a good part of the property. The rooms were opulent, classicly decorated and comfortable. Marble floors, luxurious baths, and comfortable balconies. Wi-fi was available throughout the resort without problems and not an additional charge.

Service was outstanding! You got everything you asked for and the staff went out of their way to be sure you were comfortable and enjoying your vacation. I loved the endless towels at the pool but frowned upon the many guests who lay out their towels a 7:30 AM and not return to them until sometime in the afternoon. The food and liquor was plentiful, beautifully presented and quite good.....the buffest certainly had something for everyone!
